【Creation Theme】

Use Tainan’s registered or potential cultural heritage, including historic monuments, memorial buildings, cultural landscapes, traditional practices etc., as the creative component and concepts for your film.

【Judging Process】
-
The judging of the Film Festival will be done in two stages, to create a longlist and shortlist. About 20 works will be selected for the longlist. (The amount of work chosen is determined by the Jury Panel) The longlist will be made public through the official website in September, 2021.

Reviewed by the Jury Panel, nine works will be selected as the final winners.

Participants whose works are on the longlist will receive a certificate during the screening event and the press conference. (Date and Location of the press conference are to be determined)
【Copyright and Authorization】

All participants enjoy the copyright of the work.

Participants whose works selected for the longlist and shortlist should authorize Tainan City Government:
-
The right to public releases of their works during the screening event, the press conference, and other occasions.
-
The right to reproduce, adapt or edit parts of the work without exceeding 1/10 of the original works.
-
The right to public transmission, public presentation, public performance, public recitation, public display of their works on the organizer's website or the media platforms the organizer cooperates with.
-
The right to upload their works onto the organizer’s official Youtube channel.
-
The right to include their works in CDs produced by the Tainan City Government and send them to various libraries as part of the video collections.

Tainan City Government should notify the authors of the selected works when the works are used in non-profit marketing activities.

Participants whose works are selected for the longlist and shortlist should sign the authorization agreement. If the selected works involved in issues such as copyrights, portrait rights, or infringe upon any other intellectual property rights, the participants may be disqualified and asked to return the award, trophy, and certificate to the organizer.
【Other Information】

Once your work is selected for the longlist, participants are obliged to participate in the entire competition and may not withdraw for any reason.

All entries will not be returned whether they are selected for the longlist or not.

Participants whose works are on the longlist are required to attend the screening event, the award ceremony, and other occasions.

Participants whose works selected for the longlist should provide a WORD file with Madarin subtitles using traditional Chinese (including film title, subtitles, and the credits) to the organizer to translate the subtitles into English.

Participants whose works are selected for the longlist should submit videos in both Mandarin and English within 7 days after receiving the translated materials.

After fulfilling the obligation listed above, the Tainan City Government will provide an award to the winners.

According to the law, local participants who win the awards must withhold 10% income tax; foreigners who won the awards must withhold 20% tax of the awards.
-
The organizer reserves the right and authority to cancel, modify or postpone the event.
